Job Description

Dewberry is seeking an Architectural Intern for Summer 2026 in our Elmhurst, IL and Peoria, IL offices. This position will work under the close supervision of the project architect/manager. Specific and detailed instructions regarding architectural tasks will be provided. Must take the initiative to either work out or research a work effort with the understanding of own capabilities and when to seek help from supervisor. The intern will get the opportunity to practice performing renderings and other design functions, gain real-world experience in project design and graphic software, and build core skills in conceptual design, communication, and organization.

Required Skills & Required Experience

    Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture is required
  • Strong understanding of CADD, REVIT, and Adobe Suite is required
  • Must possess good oral and written communication skills
  • Prior internship experience a plus.

Salary Range

The hourly range for this position is $17.75 - $28.75.



Program Information

Summer Intern Program

During the summer intern program, interns gain hands-on project experience, develop technical skills, and put their classroom knowledge into action. Our interns are assigned meaningful work and are given the opportunity to work on projects similar to what they would be engaging with as a full-time employee.

Our interns get the opportunity to participate in a series of workshops and events, including:

  • Networking opportunities to meet other interns, staff, and senior leaders across the business.
  • Learning about our services, projects, and clients.
  • Professional development workshops, including a career planning workshop and a DiSC assessment to learn more about themselves and how to work effectively with others.
  • Summer-long group project where interns work alongside firm leaders to address issues that will impact our future strategy.
