Overview
If you're interested in contributing to the fiscal year revenue planning process for the Microsoft Commercial business, which is responsible for the majority of Microsoft's global revenue, this role offers that opportunity. The Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions (MCAPS) Finance Team is hiring for a Senior Finance Managerto join the Central FP&A team with a focus on revenue planning. In this role, you will serve as the lead architectas we continue to build out the platform that enables effective and scalable revenue target settingfor a $200B+ commercial business. You will partner with product specialists and engineers to optimize the infrastructure of our planning system (Fusion). You will work with a first-party product as it evolves and matures, ensuring that the direction remains aligned to address the changing demands of an evolving business landscape. As changes occur, you'll also play a critical role in keeping users informed and supported through training and communication.

Responsibilities
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of operational processes and data flow for the business.
  • Perform data profiling and business analysis in collaboration with stakeholders across the organization to determine data modeling, analysis, and reporting requirements for implementation.
  • Translate business requirements into system and functional specifications; work with the Finance Data & Experiences Team to implement, test, and deliver robust, scalable solutions.
  • Manage data administration and integration activities within systems.
  • Oversee model design, development, testing, and implementation of the planning tool.
  • Ensure planning data flows correctly into all downstream systems by partnering with the Finance Data & Experiences Team.
  • Provide training and guidance to users on solutions.
  • Create and maintain clear documentation for solutions and processes.
  • Collaborate with leaders to design and implement tools that enable actionable insights for business decisions.


Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR
    • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR equivalent experience.
Additional or preferred qualifications
  • 1+ year(s) work experience in the technology or software industry.
  • 1+ year(s) work experience in matrix-based organization.
  • 1+ year(s) experience in multinationals with multi-product/multi-segment finance roles.
  • Masters Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 6+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience OR
    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 8+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership or Finance work experience OR equivalent experience.
  • 1+ year(s) knowledge of Microsoft's financial planning, forecasting, reporting processes both in corporate functions and in Field (multi-country region)
  • 1+ year(s) passion for understanding technical systems, data flows, and modern tools.
  • 1+ year(s) knowledge of Microsoft systems such as MS Sales, FinHub, other data cubes etc.

Financial Analysis IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $96,500 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $123,500 - $206,400 per year.
