Job Description

Albany's team is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Sales Manager for our new 3D Woven manufacturing facility in Dallas FW, TX. Reporting to the President of New Company, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, market expansion, developing new business opportunities, and managing customer relationships in the U.S. Federal Agency sector for the armor/woven composites product line. This role collaborates closely with Operations, Engineering, Business Development, R&T and Marketing to deliver tailored solutions that meet customer needs and support the business' strategic objectives.



The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing relationships with federal agencies, understanding their unique requirements, and positioning our products as the preferred choice.



Albany International Corp. is a global advanced textiles and materials processing company. The products and technologies help make paper smoother, tissue softer, and aircraft engines and structures lighter. The company has 2 core businesses, The Machine Clothing (MC) segment -is the world's leading producer of custom-designed fabrics and belts essential to production in the paper, nonwovens, and other process industries and Engineered Composites (EC) is a rapidly growing supplier of highly engineered composite parts for the aerospace industry.



Responsibilities & Key Areas

Key Responsibilities:



  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and market share, targeting U.S. federal agencies
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in industrial sectors.
  • Cultivate strong, lasting relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within federal agencies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with R&T, Business Development, Engineering and Production teams to develop customized composite solutions.
  • Lead contract negotiations, pricing, and proposal development.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and presentations for senior management.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through proactive communication and problem resolution.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation to closing deals and account management.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, federal procurement guidelines, and competitor products.



Remuneration & Benefits/ Other



  • Location: DFW, TX. Full-time in office.
  • Compensation: Will be structured to attract and retain the best possible candidate.
  • Note to external candidates: Due to the restricted nature of work, only US Citizens and US Persons (permanent residents) will be considered for this role. We cannot at this time sponsor employment visas.

Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years' experience in technical sales, preferably in composites or advanced materials, personal protection, body armor, tactical equipment, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated success in business development and account management, within federal government agencies or a similar market segment.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to understand and communicate technical product features and benefits.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.



Preferred Skills



  • Experience selling to agencies such as the FBI, DEA, DHS and other law enforcement or military organizations.
  • Understanding of body armor standards (e.g., NIJ certifications) and related product technologies.
