Role Overview:

As a Shop Fabricator, you will play a handson role in fabricating and repairing machinery by welding metal components according to layouts, blueprints, and work orders. You'll operate a variety of tools and equipment-including grinders, cutting torches, and materialhandling machinery-while maintaining accurate production and quality records. In this fastpaced environment, you'll ensure all work meets safety, quality, and specification standards. This role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to read detailed drawings, and the physical capability to perform consistent handson tasks with precision and attention to detail.

A Sample of What You'll Do in this Role:

  • Comply with all safety rules, procedures, and quality standards.

  • Weld metal parts to fabricate or repair machinery according to layouts, blueprints, and work orders.

  • Operate tools and equipment such as hand grinders, burning equipment, cutting torches, and material handling machinery.

  • Maintain and complete all required production and quality records accurately and on time.

  • Inspect welding work to ensure it meets specifications and product requirements.

What You Bring to the Role:

  • 1+ years of welding, fabrication, mechanical assembly, or related hands-on experience

  • Knowledge of assembly, welding, welding symbols, safety practices, and quality control

  • Ability to read and interpret welding drawings, blueprints, and product specifications

  • Experience operating machinery, hand grinders, cutting torches, burning equipment, and materialhandling tools

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • You are physically capable of performing consistent standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, and other handson tasks throughout the workday.

  • You have good handeye coordination and manual dexterity that support precise welding and fabrication work.

  • You can perform basic math calculations with accuracy and ease.

  • You bring a positive, collaborative attitude that contributes to a supportive team environment.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The base compensation for this position ranges from $27.21 to $36.32 per hour. Please note that wages may vary depending on skills and experience.
