About the role Facility Planning Coordinate outage activities across multiple plants, ensuring alignment with project timelines, budgets, and resource allocations as directed by the area maintenance manager and area manager, Report out on outage scheduling and LTMP planning to the area maintenance manager and area managers, mentor facility planners in daily, outage and weekly facility planning as well as Project/P-6, Ensure outage work adheres to Reworld safety policies, environmental regulations, and industry standards. Report project status, progress, and any potential challenges to area maintenance manager and area manager, Apply Lean Six Sigma principles to improve operational performance and reduce downtime. Ensure all maintenance activities follow best practices and project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall). Lead internal and external teams, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, efficient resource management, and timely project execution. Maximize plant uptime and minimize downtime during daily, weekly and outage planning to optimize overall operations and project outcomes. Coordinate with facility teams and area maintenance managers to complete outage readiness index requirements as well as developing a long-term maintenance plan, adhere to full compliance with environmental regulations, including emissions standards and waste disposal practices. Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades, process improvements, and operational efficiencies. Outage/Project Management Develop and implement detailed outage plans for critical TTF systems (combustion chambers, boilers, turbine generators, ash handling systems, etc.). Develop and manage comprehensive project schedules, ensuring timely and successful completion of outage projects. Adjust resource allocation (labor, materials, vendors) to ensure tasks are completed on schedule and within scope. Identify project risks and implement mitigation plans to ensure on-time, on-budget execution. Prepare and maintain detailed reports on outage activities, regulatory compliance, and performance metrics. Conduct post-outage reviews to assess the success of planning and execution, identifying areas for improvement. Perform risk assessments and manage potential project delays, safety hazards, or environmental concerns. Serve as the primary point of contact for outage-related communications, providing timely and clear updates to all stakeholders. Coordinate with area management, vendors, contractors, and internal teams to address outage-related inquiries and issues. Cost and Work Management Monitor costs during outages, identify budget overruns, and recommend corrective actions or cost-saving measures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, contractors, and vendors to procure resources for outage projects. Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement in outage management and execution. Develop and manage outage project budgets, ensuring cost-efficiency and effective use of resources.
