Your responsibilities
Job Summary This individual is responsible for performing the daily activities of the general accounting department which includes monitoring and analyzing general ledger accounts and financial statements, support of external audit, tax package preparation, quarterly HFM package preparation and other ad hoc reporting requirements.

A successful candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized and able to work with little to no supervision. The individual should have a solid working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and strong financial analysis skills. Job Description
  • Key Accountabilities:
  • Preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly and annual journal entries and reports
  • Participation in the monthly general ledger close and consolidation reporting to parent companies
  • Cross collaboration with Finance department and individual branches for financial reviews
  • Maintains and reconciles balance sheet accounts which includes investigating and resolving account discrepancies
  • Provides support for audits and tax requests
  • Routine accounting assignments including, but not limited to, review and coding of invoices received and/or preparing invoices for affiliates
  • Create and maintain documentation on processes and procedures related to job responsibilities
  • Ability to be a resource for and train staff members as well as facilitate cross-training among team
  • Recommends and implements ideas and innovations to improve upon existing systems, work processes and procedures
  • Participates in cross functional teams to implement accounting solutions for new business activities

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in accounting, finance, business or related field
  • Knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS and internal controls
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Outlook, Excel and Word)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate accounting results to both accounting and non-accounting customers at various levels of the organization
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to meet communicated deadlines
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships
  • Ability to work independently
  • Displays initiative and has the ability to improve processes and document work performed
  • Attention to detail
  • Highly organized - able to move quickly from one task to another, prioritize with limited guidance/direction and document work performed
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity - unknown variables, systems limitations, and constraints

Preferred Requirements:

  • SAP and/or Oracle experience or other integrated ERP system
  • Detailed understanding of sales and inventory movement in a manufacturing and distribution environment
Job Compensation

$95,000 - $110,000/year
