Senior QA & Test Automation Engineer (Gateway Services)

Genesis10 is currently seeking a QA Engineer for a 6+ month contract-to-hire opportunity located in Berkeley Heights, NJ. This position is on-site.

Compensation: $60.00 - 65.00 per hour, W2, depending on skill and experience level.

Job Description:

Our client is seeking a Senior QA & Test Automation Engineer to support Gateway Services. This role is best for a hands-on engineer who can build and maintain automated test coverage, partner across global teams, and contribute to functional/regression quality for high-reliability services. Automation-heavy (approx. 70% automation / 30% manual)

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain automated tests for functional and regression coverage (and performance where applicable).
• Execute targeted manual testing for new features, investigations, and validation scenarios.
• Develop/extend automation frameworks and improve reliability and maintainability of test suites.
• Troubleshoot failures, analyze defects, and collaborate with developers to drive resolution.
• Participate in test planning, reviews, and quality discussions with cross-functional stakeholders.

• 6+ years in QA with significant hands-on automation engineering experience.
• Strong automation experience with Selenium and/or Playwright.
• Strong core Java skills (ability to write/maintain test code and work with common data structures).
• Experience testing APIs/services and integration-heavy systems.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills in a collaborative Agile environment.
• Onsite 5 days/week in Berkeley Heights, NJ.
• This is a hands-on engineering role; candidates should be comfortable writing and debugging automation code.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship now or in the future.

• SQL proficiency for test validation/data checks.
• Performance testing exposure (load/latency concepts).
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
