Job Description:

This position will assist in developing and optimizing packaging solutions under the guidance of a senior packaging engineer. Assist in the design, development, and testing packaging solutions for products to ensure safety, efficiency, and sustainability.

Primary Accountabilities:

  • Assist in designing packaging solutions and creating technical specifications and models using CAD software.
  • Conduct packaging tests and document findings.
  • Support the evaluation and selection of packaging materials.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align packaging with product specifications and business goals.
  • Create packaging prototypes and assist with manufacturing line trials.
  • Maintain documentation and ensure designs comply with industry standards and regulations.
  • Contribute to sustainability efforts by researching eco-friendly materials and waste reduction.

Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) in packaging engineering or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Familiarity with packaging design software.
  • Experience with packaging materials, processes, and equipment is preferred.
  • Internship or project experience in packaging development or a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team and manage small projects.
  • Years of experience: One to three years preferred
