Overview

What You Will Do

The Scheduling & Workflow Coordinator supports efficient production and operational flow within the control panel shop. This role works closely with the Master Scheduler, Material Coordinator, Warehouse, Production, Purchasing, Panel Design Group and Documentation Team to ensure materials, documentation, and schedules are aligned. Performance is measured by minimized production disruptions, efficient material flow, and consistent on-time delivery.

A Typical Day at Prime Controls

    Support the Material Coordinator in monitoring inventory levels to prevent shortages, delays, and excess stock.
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining point-of-use (POU) bin systems, including bin sizing and replenishment aligned with production schedules.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure data integrity within ERP and inventory management systems.
  • Communicate material requirements and purchasing needs with Production, Material Coordination, and Purchasing teams.
  • Participate in cycle counts and physical inventory audits as required; investigate and resolve variances.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to material flow, inventory accuracy, and process efficiency.
  • Coordinate with the Master Scheduler, Material Coordinator, and Document Control to print, update, maintain, and distribute panel drawings; identify reissued drawings and reprint as needed.
  • Assist the Panel Design Group Coordinator in maintaining the panel list and coordinating updates with project and design teams.
  • Create, maintain, and manage Panel Build Sales Orders (PBSOs), including processing redline changes.
  • Cross-train within the scheduling group to provide backup coverage as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulatory requirements related to material management.

What You Will Bring

The Basic

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience in inventory management, supply chain, logistics, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with ERP and inventory management systems.

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Working knowledge of safety and quality standards related to material handling.
