Summary of Job Duties:The Patient Care Technician is an integral part of the Razorback Clinic's team, playing a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care alongside the multidisciplinary Patient Management Team. Working under the guidance of the Registered Nurse and Athletic Trainer (ATC), this position empowers you to make a direct impact by supporting essential care tasks, fostering a safe and compassionate environment, and ensuring seamless collaboration within the clinic. If you're passionate about hands-on patient care and thrive in a dynamic healthcare setting, this PRN role offers the opportunity to grow, contribute, and be part of a team dedicated to excellence. Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma/GED
  • Current BLS certification or must successfully obtain certification within the first 30 days of employment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in an ambulatory care setting preferred
  • Experience with casting and splinting preferred

    Key Responsibilities:

    Clinical Duties:

    • Collects/records patients' medical history and acquires patient vital signs
    • Advises patients regarding treatment, medication, and specific physician instructions
    • Collects lab samples and complete necessitated documentation for submission to lab
    • Greets all patients/customers in professional and courteous manner upon arrival at clinic
    • Registers and checks-out patients
    • Interacts with and assists the public in a professional and friendly manner
    • Demonstrates effective communication skills; communicates accurate and complete information; maintains strict confidentiality
    • Work with all clinical staff to help meet patient health and clinic goals
    • May perform other tasks as assigned

    Administrative Duties:

    • Administrative duties including, but not limited to the following: faxing documents, obtain and submit insurance prior authorizations, help create and arrange surgery packets for physicians, and other assigned administrative duties as needed
