How will you do it We are looking for skilled HVAC Technicians who have experience with air cooled and/or water-cooled chillers, Industrial chillers, AHU's or large roof top ducted units. Preferred experience in Industrial Petro-Chemical, Pharmaceutical, or Data Center vertical environments. As a trusted advisor to our customers, you will provide solutions and outcomes at the time of commissioning and aftermarket service. Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure facility is running efficiently to include upselling opportunities. Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions. What we look for Required
- Be a dedicated member of a North America Branch team willing to learn and be responsible for startup, commissioning, and aftermarket services for this fast-growing business
- Must be a member or willing to join a local Union.
- Minimum of Twelve (5) years of practical working experience on air cooled and/or water-cooled chillers, industrial chillers, AHU's or large roof top ducted units with strong HVAC/ mechanical troubleshooting experience. Lead large complex repairs, jobs or retrofits.
- Recognized as a Leader by peers while being a coach and mentor within the branch. Escalation points on technical issues and provides on-the-job training for other Mechanics.
- Escalation points from the branch to the Product Technical Support PTS teams for critical issues. Viewed as an expert in a field by both employees and customers.
- Assists management with assuring proper field operational disciplines of other Technicians are followed.
- Regularly provides input on development and training needs of the branch.
- Provides consultant level services for customers related to building system and or product repairs and enhancements.
- Ensures ultimate customer satisfaction levels with assigned customers.
- Conducts self-study (reading, research and practice) to improve and maintain technical proficiency. Completes all training and certifications as required by the company.
- Communicates with customers upon arrival and before leaving the work site. Ensures high levels of customer satisfaction Meets regularly with customer to become familiar with operating problems. Keeps customer informed on the nature of service provided outstanding issues and recommends system enhancements, upgrades, and or repairs.
- Manages assigned work to meet a professional level of execution, on-time and to the customer satisfaction.
- Extensive experience in HVAC systems, (Chilled water loops, Pumping, Compressor enthalpy, Compressor trouble shooting and rebuild.
- Mechanical shaft alignment using dial indicators, lasers, etc. of pumps, fans, Compressors.
- Able to use vibration equipment to trouble shoot compressor drivelines.
- Proficient in the operations, trouble shooting and repair of large tonnage chiller 460 vac VSD's and medium voltage 4160 vac VSD's.
- Proficient in multiple OEM chiller panels and controllers.
- Travel maybe required 10% to 20% to support Branch Customers startup and commissioning activities as well as aftermarket service trouble shooting.

- Able to provide quotes to customers and participate in JCI's Service Plus Rewards program.

- Universal EPA refrigerants license, applicable state or local licensing, and valid driver's license.
What we look for In addition to the technical requirements of the given field, Technical Team Leads need experience where strong leadership activities have been demonstrated. Ability to act independently and to coordinate the work of other employees and contractors on a customer site. - WIP Meeting Prep: Meet with agents before WIP (Work in Progress) meetings to review priorities and updates.
- WIP Meeting Participation: Present non-approved quotes from the previous week, incorporating customer feedback for discussion.
- Quote Management:
- Drive weekly quote volume by collaborating with the field team to ensure quotes are initiated in NxGen before being handed off to sales.
- Coach DFLs who are not regularly quoting recommend setting weekly targets for all team members.
- Quote Quality & Closure: Focus on improving quote closure rates by ensuring higher-quality quotes are delivered promptly.
- Job Completion Oversight: Follow up larger projects to confirm they are 100% complete before billing. Provide technical assistance to the CRC as needed.
- Time Accountability: Dedicate 16 hours per week to TTL responsibilities and maintain accountability for activities during this time.
- Training Coordination: Schedule training sessions for field personnel as required.
- Daily Scheduling: Actively participate in daily scheduling with agents to optimize resource allocation.
Pay Range: {$37.07} hourly rate determined by the CBA/rate sheet. Benefits are provided through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement.
