Description

Alliance Technical Group, a premier partner in environmental solutions, is seeking a curious, disciplined, and high-energy software developer ready to help define the future of agentic software development. This role blends traditional engineering craftsmanship with next-generation AI-assisted workflows - using code generators, automation, and intelligent agents to build faster, learn faster, and ship better.

This is not a passive coding job. The Software Developer I is expected to think critically, experiment boldly, and take ownership of their work from concept to completion. We want developers who thrive on learning, value precision, and view AI as a force multiplier - not a shortcut.

Essential Functions



  • Design, code, and maintain scalable applications and system components across multiple platforms.
  • Use agentic development tools (AI code generators, prompt-based automation, refactoring assistants, etc.) to enhance productivity and software quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, design architectures, and deliver solutions that meet business and customer needs.
  • Take full ownership of assigned features, ensuring timely delivery with attention to performance, maintainability, and testing.
  • Troubleshoot and debug software issues, leveraging AI-assisted tools to diagnose and resolve problems quickly.
  • Actively explore emerging technologies and development patterns, applying new insights to improve products and workflows.
  • Participate in peer reviews, Agile ceremonies, and sprint planning with a mindset of craftsmanship and growth.
  • Maintain clear documentation for all developed software and agentic workflows.
  • Contribute ideas to improve team velocity, reliability, and overall software quality.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications



  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or related field.
  • Can be substituted with equivalent relevant Agentic coding experience.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities



  • Strong programming and software development skills with a drive to continuously improve your craft.
  • Familiarity with agentic programming and AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cody, or similar).
  • Experience coding in C#, or JavaScript/TypeScript with frameworks such as .NET, or Svelte.
  • Understanding of cloud environments (Azure preferred) and version control (Git/GitHub).
  • Awareness of software architecture, system design, and coding best practices.
  • Curiosity and adaptability in exploring new tools and technologies.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage time and priorities independently.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
  • Positive, proactive attitude toward challenges and change.


Compensation

Salary starting at $100-120k DOE

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting with constant sitting and occasional standing.

Physical Demands

Regular use of computers and communication tools is essential. Sitting for extended periods and manual dexterity are common. Hearing and vision within normal ranges are helpful for normal conversations and document preparation. Exertion of up to 10 lbs. of force is rare.
