Position Summary

The Human Resources Co-op will support the HR team with day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives. This position is ideal for a student pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field who is seeking hands-on experience in a professional HR environment.


Key Responsibilities


  • Assist with recruitment activities, including job postings, interview scheduling, and candidate communications



  • Support onboarding and orientation processes for new hires



  • Maintain and update employee files, including filing active records and archiving terminated employee files



  • Conduct monthly audits of benefit invoices



  • Prepare bi-weekly point reports for supervisors, noting missing warnings



  • Maintain HR databases and employee records with accuracy and confidentiality



  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to add HR content to cafe monitors



  • Maintain the HR Plant Communication Board, including posting events and updating policies



  • Assist with employee engagement and recognition programs



  • Support training and development initiatives through administrative assistance



  • Prepare HR reports and metrics as requested



  • Respond to employee inquiries and direct them to appropriate HR resources



  • Participate in HR projects and process improvement initiatives



  • Ensure compliance with company policies and employment regulations



  • Maintain excellent attendance



  • Perform other duties as assigned by the HR Manager




Qualifications & Skills

Required Qualifications




  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field



  • Strong organizational and time-management skills



  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills



  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)



  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion



  • Positive attitude with a strong willingness to learn




Preferred Qualifications




  • Previous internship or office experience (preferred but not required)




Work Schedule & Environment


  • Work hours: Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.



  • Up to 40 hours per week



  • Mobility required within a manufacturing environment



  • Irregular hours may be required during projects or company conferences



  • Travel: 0%
