Job Description




As a Security Officer - Gate Access Driver in Beatrice, NE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy manufacturing and industrial location where you will support access control and badging, greet visitors and employees, and help monitor assigned areas through routine patrols and a strong visible presence. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license. You will document activity, communicate clearly with site contacts, and help maintain a professional, people-first experience while acting with integrity and teamwork.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, confirming authorization, and directing employees, contractors, and visitors according to site requirements.
  • Process visitors, vendors, and drivers by completing sign-in procedures, issuing temporary credentials as directed, and maintaining visitor logs and/or entry documentation.
  • Monitor and manage vehicle and pedestrian traffic at gates and checkpoints, including coordinating deliveries, pickup appointments, and restricted-area access as permitted by site policy.
  • Use access control systems and security-related technology such as badge readers, radios, phones, and computer logs to document activity and communicate status updates.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate contacts, documenting actions taken, and assisting with scene control as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production areas, warehouses, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Complete routine reporting such as shift activity logs, access exceptions, incident reports, and key control records in accordance with Allied Universal and site guidelines.
  • Support security-related screening and property control procedures, such as checking packages, toolboxes, and company property movements when required by site policy.
  • Maintain a professional presence at all times, addressing questions and/or concerns from site personnel while following post orders and escalation procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • - A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • - Comfortable using computer or tablet is preferred.
  • - Customer service experience is preferred.
  • - Access control/badge experience is preferred.
  • - CPR certification is preferred.
  • - Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • - Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • - Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • - Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • - A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
