As a Security Officer - Distribution X-Ray Operator in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents, operating screening equipment, and delivering outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Conduct screening procedures for individuals and/or items entering the logistics and distribution location, following established protocols to help to deter prohibited items from entering the premises.
  • Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and delivery personnel with inquiries while maintaining security-related awareness.
  • Carry out site-specific security-related procedures and follow policies as directed by Allied Universal and the client site.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as needed.
  • Monitor access points, verifying credentials and/or documentation as required to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of screening activities and incidents as required by site protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
