Job Description




As a Security Officer - Data Center Screener in Fall River, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a leading tech and telecommunications location, where you will greet visitors, verify credentials, screen packages and equipment, and support access control with clear, professional communication. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, stay highly visible to help reduce incidents, and document security-related activity with attention to detail. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to the client by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a tech and communications location.
  • Operate screening checkpoints to help control access, including verifying identification and authorization, directing pedestrian flow, and supporting orderly entry and exit.
  • Conduct person and property screening using site-approved methods, such as walkthrough magnetometers, handheld wands, and visual inspections, following posted signage and site requirements.
  • Perform bag and package inspections as required, documenting exceptions and escalating prohibited or suspicious items per site policy.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and access control systems where assigned, and report irregular activity to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting emergency services when directed and assisting with incident reporting.
  • Complete shift logs, screening documentation, and incident reports with clear, accurate, and timely information.
  • Communicate professionally with employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel to help support a positive workplace experience while maintaining screening standards.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including interior and exterior areas such as lobbies, office corridors, loading areas, and parking zones. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
  • Support special events, high-traffic periods, and elevated post orders by adjusting screening lanes, coordinating with site teams, and maintaining orderly queues.

Minimum Requirements:

  • CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
