RAYUS Radiology is looking for a Credit Balance Specialist to join our team. As a Credit Balance Specialist, you will coordinate, process, and audit accounts to determine posting errors and overpayments and takes corrective action to ensure account accuracy. This is a full-time position, working Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week during standard corporate business hours. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES: (80%) Credit Balance Support Analyzes each credit balance to determine root cause and establishes a plan of action Takes action on all payer and patient refund requests Posts the appropriate adjustments to correct any errors that were created during receipt and adjustment posting to resolve the credit balance Ensures appropriate documentation of refunds recorded on individual accounts Completes refund requests for patient and payers when overpayments occur within the timeline established by accounts payable and according to month end guidelines Coordinates the supporting documentation required to accompany the refund (10%) Revenue Cycle Management Support Responds to customer service inquiries related to refund requests Assists with month-end posting of payments when directed (10%) Performs other duties as assigned Required: High school diploma or equivalent 1+ years medical business office experience or a graduate of a medical billing program Proficient in Microsoft Office and previous data entry experience RAYUS is committed to delivering clinical excellence in communities across the U.S., driven by our passion for and superior service to referring providers and patients.
