Position Summary

Reporting to the VP of Business Operations, the Director, Vendor Solutions provides strategic leadership for the vendor-management lifecycle across 500+ vendors. This role drives cost optimization, compliance, and risk mitigation while ensuring operational continuity. Oversees contract governance, procurement workflows, and vendor performance metrics, leading a team to execute day-to-day operations and deliver enterprise savings.

Key Responsibilities

1. Governance & Compliance

  • Manage ~584 vendors, including medium- and high-risk entities requiring recurring compliance, privacy, ISRM, and financial review.
  • Ensure 100% compliance with audit and ISRM standards; lead preparation and follow-up for weekly internal and customer audits.
  • Maintain documentation, SOPs, and workflows aligned with enterprise compliance requirements.

2. Contract Lifecycle & Renewals

  • Own end-to-end contract creation, negotiation, and execution for NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, amendments, and renewals.
  • Drive accelerated contracting cycles (target: 45 days) and manage renewal cadence to prevent lapses and pricing increases.

3. Procurement & Financial Stewardship

  • Achieve annual vendor savings of $1M+ through negotiations, vendor consolidation, and competitive bid processes.
  • Oversee PO creation, updates, and cost-center ownership; resolve payment escalations and invoice discrepancies.

4. Vendor Performance & Relationship Management

  • Serve as escalation point for vendor issues across SLAs, renewals, and performance metrics.
  • Manage vendor scorecards, SLA reporting, and quarterly business reviews.

5. Systems & Data Integrity

  • Ensure data accuracy in procurement and contracting systems (Ariba, OneTrust, Fieldglass).
  • Oversee vendor onboarding and RFP execution (>5 per quarter), including scoping and vendor evaluations.

6. Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead and develop a team of vendor solutions specialists; foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations, Supply Chain, or equivalent.
  • Experience:
    • 10+ years in procurement, vendor management, or operations.
    • 7+ years in management roles.
  • Skills: Vendor governance, negotiation strategy, contract lifecycle management, financial acumen, and proficiency in Ariba, OneTrust, Fieldglass.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. $123,200 - $205,400
