As a Business Manager for NACG's Institutional Group, you will work directly with Institutional sales leadership to manage and facilitate key business management processes such as long-term and annual business planning, budgeting and financial planning, governance structure and leadership forums, quarterly business reviews, associate communications, and other operational responsibilities to ensure the business unit runs effectively. You will play a key connector role between the business unit and their cross-functional partners to ensure alignment on the above, effectively leveraging inter-departmental relationships to maximize North American Client Group's (NACG) enterprise model. You will partner closely with Institutional Sales Operations, who will be responsible for go-to-market execution while you will be responsible for internal business management and operations. You will influence strategic and operational decision-making through a combination of information, analysis, and experience. You'll be a champion for a continuous improvement environment to enable a highly efficient and effective business unit.

You will also work closely with the senior business manager to support the three Sales groups within NACG - the Advisor Group, Strategic Relationship Group, and Institutional Group. While the focus of this role is to support the Institutional Group, based on business need, the projects and responsibilities may also span and shift as necessary across the three Sales groups. You will also collaborate with the rest of the NACG Business Management team to apply best practices and ensure the overall effectiveness, efficiency and consistency of the business management function across NACG.

  • You have at least 7+ years of prior experience working in an asset management firm

  • You have experience collaborating with sales management to identify issues and recommend solutions on complex and broad matters.

  • Prior experience and/or knowledge about the Institutional business is strongly preferred.

  • You have sound judgment and intellectual curiosity, thriving in areas of high complexity, ambiguity, and diversity.

  • You are highly effective in planning and managing broad business areas to achieve results consistent with organizational objectives.

  • You possess strong written and oral communication skills, collaborating with diverse associates and senior business leaders.

  • You excel at leading and facilitating with executive presence, influencing others, and driving successful outcomes in meetings and strategic discussions.

  • You have experience in financial management, business planning, and process optimization.

  • You are adept at navigating and implementing policies, procedures, and governance structures.

  • You are committed to continuous improvement and effective resource management, ensuring the business unit operates efficiently and effectively.

Southern California Base Salary Range: $141,648-$226,637

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
