Job Description




As a Security Officer - Unarmed Post - Full Time in Tucson, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy manufacturing and industrial location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site teams, and respond to incidents and/or service requests with professionalism. Bring an agile, reliable mindset and a people-first approach as you deliver through teamwork and act with integrity every shift.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, notifications, and accurate documentation.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout production areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and the perimeter, as required by post orders.
  • Control access points by monitoring entrances and exits, confirming authorization, directing visitors and contractors, and assisting with sign-in and badge procedures per site policy.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, radios, and other site systems as assigned, and report unusual activity to the appropriate personnel.
  • Complete routine patrol and incident reports, shift logs, and other required documentation with clear, detailed observations.
  • Perform opening, closing, and perimeter checks of assigned buildings and yards, including checks for unsecured doors, gates, and/or equipment left in restricted areas.
  • Assist with traffic control and truck or delivery routing as assigned, helping to maintain orderly movement near gates, docks, and staging areas.
  • Communicate professionally with site leadership, employees, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related concerns, changes in conditions, and/or follow-up actions.
  • Participate in drills, training, and post briefings, and follow site-specific emergency procedures for fire, medical incidents, severe weather, and other events.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
