As a Security Officer - Hotel Patrol - Full Time in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a premier hotel and resort location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and guest concerns with calm, professional communication. Why Join Us: What You'll Do: - Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and hotel team members by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including guest concerns, disturbances, medical situations, and service requests, and notify hotel management and/or emergency services as directed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of hotel common areas, guest-floor corridors, meeting and event spaces, restaurants and lounges, back-of-house areas, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
- Control access to staff-only and restricted areas by checking credentials and/or authorizations, directing visitors to appropriate locations, and reporting unauthorized entry attempts.
- Monitor alarms, cameras, and other systems when assigned, and report irregular activity, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist with crowd and line management during peak arrival and departure periods, group check-ins, and special events to support orderly guest flow.
- Provide directions, escort assistance when requested, and customer service support while maintaining awareness of surroundings and reporting concerns through the chain of command.
- Document patrol activity, incidents, and notable observations in reports and logs per site requirements, and communicate updates during shift handoff.
- Support loss prevention and property protection efforts by observing for suspicious behavior, securing unsecured doors, gates, and service areas, and reporting maintenance issues such as broken locks and lighting outages.
- Interact professionally with local law enforcement, fire services, and emergency medical responders when they arrive on site, and assist with scene control as directed by site leadership.
- Follow Allied Universal and site protocols for key control and/or access cards when assigned, including tracking issuance and reporting missing items.
- Participate in drills and follow post orders for evacuation, shelter-in-place, and other emergency procedures as directed by site leadership.
Minimum Requirements: - A Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
