As a Security Officer - Factory Patrol Driver in Cedar Rapids, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy manufacturing and industrial location as an unarmed, driving Patrol Officer. You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to reports with clear communication and strong customer service. Why Join Us: What You'll Do: - Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
- Control access at entrances and gates by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, and directing employees, contractors, and deliveries according to site procedures.
- Monitor alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems when assigned, and report irregular conditions for follow-up.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, fire-related alerts, equipment incidents, and disturbances, and request additional assistance as needed.
- Complete detailed reports on daily activities, incidents, and observations, including documenting maintenance hazards and/or unsecured doors, gates, and restricted areas.
- Perform routine checks of doors, gates, critical rooms, and restricted zones, and report deficiencies such as damaged fencing, lighting outages, and/or inoperable locks.
- Support truck and delivery operations by observing trailer movements, verifying dock appointments when required, and reporting suspicious behavior near shipping and receiving areas.
- Provide clear directions and service to visitors and employees, helping to resolve minor issues and/or escalations while maintaining professional communication.
- Work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions, including walking and standing for extended periods, and follow post orders and client instructions as directed.
Minimum Requirements: - - A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- - Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- - Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
