As a Security Officer - Factory Perimeter Patrol in Blythewood, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will complete routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, monitor access points, and support badge and visitor check-in while staying highly visible. You will document security-related activity, respond to incidents, and communicate clearly with site teams and guests. Why Join Us: What You'll Do: - Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical situations, fire alarms, equipment-related issues, and access control concerns.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards and maintenance concerns.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or authorization as required, and assist with visitor management and delivery check-in processes.
- Control access to restricted areas in accordance with post orders, including coordination with onsite management regarding badges, keys, and/or temporary access permissions.
- Observe and report unusual activity, potential policy violations, and/or operational concerns, and promptly communicate findings to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
- Complete routine and incident documentation such as daily activity reports, patrol logs, and shift handoffs with clear and accurate details.
- Use security-related equipment and systems as assigned, which may include radios, CCTV monitoring, access control systems, and/or electronic reporting tools.
- Support emergency response activities as directed, including guiding evacuations, securing affected areas, and assisting first responders upon arrival.
- Maintain a professional presence, follow site rules for PPE and restricted zones, and interact respectfully with employees, contractors, and visitors.
Minimum Requirements: - Have 2 or more years of security-related experience.
- Have 2 or more years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
