As a Security Officer Resort Patrol Driver in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. Join Allied Universal at a hotel and resort location where you will complete unarmed, mobile patrols and respond to security-related concerns with a calm, service-focused approach. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license in the job state and meeting AU driver policy requirements. You will help to deter incidents through high visibility, clear communication, and detailed reporting, while living our agile, reliable, innovative values through teamwork and integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a hotel setting.
  • Patrol guest areas, lobbies, hallways, meeting spaces, parking areas, and the perimeter on a regular and random basis to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with guest concerns, disturbances, and property-related issues.
  • Control access to restricted areas by monitoring doors, service corridors, and back-of-house entry points, and/or verifying identification and authorization when required by site policy.
  • Observe and report security-related hazards such as unsecured doors, damaged locks, poor lighting, or suspicious behavior, and communicate findings to site management and Allied Universal supervision.
  • Complete shift activity logs, incident reports, and other documentation with clear, accurate details in accordance with site procedures.
  • Support hotel staff with routine requests such as escorts to parking areas, vendor check-ins, and guidance for guests during unusual conditions or disruptions.
  • Monitor cameras and alarm systems when assigned, and coordinate with local responders and/or property management as directed during emergency response activities.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
