As a Security Officer - Warehouse Patrol Driver in Milpitas, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location as an unarmed patrol officer in a driving post. You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, support access control and dock activity, and document observations using site systems. Why Join Us: What You'll Do: - Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the logistics and distribution location, including warehouse areas, yards, loading docks, parking areas and the perimeter, as assigned.
- Monitor access points for employees, visitors, vendors and/or drivers, and follow site procedures for verification, directions and entry authorization.
- Complete required security-related reports, including shift activity logs, incident reports and maintenance or hazard notifications, per site policy.
- Observe and report unusual activity, damaged property, unsecured doors or gates and/or policy violations to the appropriate contacts.
- Assist with traffic flow and delivery vehicle staging as needed, including directing trucks to designated lanes, docks and check-in areas, per site procedures.
- Perform inspections of doors, gates, fencing and critical areas during patrols, and report conditions requiring follow-up.
- Support emergency response activities such as evacuation assistance, area control and communication with site leadership and/or emergency responders, when appropriate.
- Use Allied Universal communication tools to relay updates, request assistance and coordinate response to incidents.
Minimum Requirements: - - A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- - Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- - CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- - Customer service experience is preferred.
- - Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- - Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
