Job Description




As a Security Officer - Mobile Property Patrol in Cheyenne, WY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with tenants and site contacts, and respond to concerns with a customer-first approach. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to tenants, contractors, visitors, and/or property management by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including lobbies, parking areas, loading docks, stairwells, and perimeter lines as assigned.
  • Monitor access points and help to control entry for authorized personnel, deliveries, and contractors in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical calls, fire alarms, and/or unauthorized access.
  • Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns to property management and Allied Universal supervision.
  • Complete routine patrol logs, incident reports, and other documentation with accurate details and timely communication.
  • Use radios, phones, and/or computer-based systems to communicate assignments, status updates, and incident information.
  • Support building operations by providing directions, assisting with lost and found inquiries, and helping to resolve minor tenant and/or visitor concerns.
  • Maintain a professional presence and appearance while interacting with the public, co-workers, and site representatives.
  • Follow post orders and instructions for special events, tenant move-ins and/or move-outs, and construction-related activity within the property.

Minimum Requirements:

  • This is a primarily driving post.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
