Job Description




As a Security Officer - Industrial Center - Full Time in Weslaco, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and help identify and report unusual activity. You will remain highly visible, support access control and visitor interactions, and communicate clearly with site teams. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial manufacturing location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including completing required notifications and documentation.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, shipping and receiving zones, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and control entry and exit in accordance with site procedures, including verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, and directing guests to appropriate check-in areas.
  • Perform security-related inspections during patrols, noting unusual conditions such as unsecured doors, damaged gates, and/or lighting outages, and report findings through the proper channels.
  • Assist with traffic flow and vehicle screening activities as assigned, including monitoring deliveries and coordinating with site personnel regarding dock and yard activity.
  • Operate site communications systems as assigned, including radios and telephones, and maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff notes.
  • Support emergency and non-emergency response activities as directed, including alarms, medical situations, fires, and/or severe weather, and help guide personnel to designated assembly areas.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
