As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor assigned areas through routine foot patrols and a strong visible presence that helps to discourage incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site teams, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism and care. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including providing initial assistance and notifying site leadership and/or emergency services as required.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout manufacturing and industrial areas, including production spaces, warehouses, loading docks, and the exterior perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Control access at entry points by verifying credentials, directing visitors and contractors, and following check-in and key control processes per site policy.
  • Monitor alarms, surveillance systems, and access control systems when assigned, and document and escalate irregular conditions.
  • Perform patrol checks of doors, gates, and restricted areas; report maintenance issues such as unsecured openings, damaged fencing, and/or lighting outages through the designated reporting process.
  • Support shipping and receiving operations by observing truck arrival and departure activity, reporting suspicious behavior, and following site procedures for dock and yard areas.
  • Complete daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift logs with accurate details, maintaining chain of communication with site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
  • Enforce site rules in a professional manner while maintaining a customer-focused presence with employees, visitors, and vendors.
  • Participate in briefings, training, and post orders updates, and maintain readiness to follow site instructions during changing operational conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
