As a Screener with Allied Universal at an education location, you will greet students, staff, and visitors while supporting security-related entry screening and access procedures. You will remain highly visible at key points, help to identify prohibited items and/or suspicious activity, and communicate concerns promptly to site leadership. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service while conducting entry screening at an education location, including greeting students, staff, and/or visitors, verifying identification, and confirming authorization to enter per site-specific policies.
• Operate screening equipment and perform bag and/or package inspections as required, resolving alarms or prohibited item concerns through approved procedures and escalation.
• Support access control by maintaining visitor logs, issuing temporary credentials as directed, and communicating entry requirements and directional information.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site personnel and/or emergency responders when appropriate and completing required documentation.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the building entrance areas and perimeter to help to deter policy violations and/or suspicious activity, with working environments and conditions varying by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
