JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Penn State Scranton is currently accepting applications for part-time research assistants at the Sustainable Communities Lab.

Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Subject matter research
  • Literature review
  • Grant writing assistance
  • Reporting to data analytics
  • Other duties as assigned depending on the specific project and role

Educational requirements may range from a high school diploma to Ph.D. in-progress.

Preferred Qualifications include, but are not limited to:

  • Business and/or quantitative studies background
  • Basic data analysis and processing skills
  • Statistical analysis knowledge and expertise
  • MS Excel, MS Access, SQL, SAS
  • Python, web-scraping and NLP
  • Any programming experience is a plus

Willingness to learn, ability to work remotely and independently under limited supervision, strong commitment, organizational skills, and result-driven approach are a must.
