Continuation past the termlengthdiscussed willbebasedonuniversityneed,performance,and/oravailabilityoffunding.POSITION SPECIFICS Postdoctoral Scholar - Structural Virology The Department of Cell and Biological Systems at Penn State University College of Medicine (Hershey, PA) invites applications for a full-time, NIH-funded Postdoctoral Scholar position in structural virology. This position offers an exciting opportunity to investigate the structural biology of Hepatitis B virus (HBV) in mammalian cells using state-of-the-art cryo-electron microscopy-based approaches. More information about the laboratory can be found at:https://www.cryo-em.psu.edu/. The postdoctoral scholar will contribute to ongoing projects to define structural and mechanistic changes in HBV during its replication cycle. Depending on background and expertise, the position is suitable for candidates with a strength inmolecular virology/HBV biologyor incryo-electron microscopy and cellular imaging, with complementary training provided.
