Job Summary The Project Manager is a key leader within the operations team, responsible for the successful planning, execution, and delivery of network infrastructure and cabling projects at assigned sites. This role oversees all phases of the project lifecycle, including pre-construction planning, budgeting, scheduling, client engagement, and on-site execution. The Project Manager ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality, safety, and customer satisfaction standards while providing strong leadership to internal teams and external partners. Job Responsibilities

Lead and manage all aspects of assigned projects from conceptual development through completion.

Develop, maintain, and manage project schedules, milestones, and financial plans to meet delivery targets.

Establish project budgets, track costs, review job cost postings, and prepare financial reports, projections, and invoices.

Coordinate labor requirements, dispatch field personnel, and facilitate technician travel as needed.

Direct and supervise office and on-site project team members, including hiring, training, performance management, and development.

Oversee pre-construction activities, including constructability reviews, cost estimating, design coordination, and value engineering.

Manage procurement activities, including material requisitions, equipment purchasing, and bill of materials oversight.

Solicit, negotiate, and manage contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, consultants, and vendors.

Ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, permits, licenses, safety standards, and quality control programs.

Monitor project progress, address risks, delays, and site issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.

Communicate project status, risks, and changes clearly and proactively to stakeholders and clients.

Serve as the primary liaison to clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring a high level of satisfaction.

Coordinate effectively with internal and external design, construction, network, and facilities partners.

Maintain required project documentation, reporting, and adherence to established project management processes and playbooks.

Be present on job sites as required to support active project management responsibilities.
Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science, business management, electrical engineering, construction management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Minimum of 10 years of direct experience in construction management, data centers, or structured cabling environments.

Proven track record of delivering complex or mission-critical projects on time, within budget, and to quality and safety standards.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools.

Experience with contract negotiation and administration.

Strong leadership skills with experience building, managing, coaching, and mentoring teams.

Excellent organizational, time management, and coordination skills across multiple disciplines.

Client-facing experience with the ability to manage expectations and foster collaborative relationships.

Working knowledge of program management fundamentals, including earned value management, SPI, CPI, and related metrics.

Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification preferred.

BICSI RCDD or similar telecommunications certifications preferred.
