The Belin-Blank Center for Gifted Education and Talent Development at the University of Iowa seeks up to nineteen (19) qualified instructors to teach content-specific workshops for an Advanced Placement Summer Institute (APSI), offered in collaboration with the College Board. These workshops will be delivered across four APSI sessions during Summer 2026 in both on-campus and online formats. APSI Session Schedule (Central Time) On-Campus Sessions
- APSI Session II: June 22-25, 2026
- APSI Session III: July 6-9, 2026
Online Sessions
- APSI Session I: June 15-18, 2026
- APSI Session IV: July 20-23, 2026
Required Qualifications Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Inclusion on the most recent College Board list of endorsed College Board Consultants (2025-2026).
- Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following Advanced Placement subject areas:
African Studies, Art & Design, Biology, Business with Personal Finance, Calculus AB, Chemistry, Computer Science A, Computer Science Principles, Economics, English Language & Composition, English Literature & Composition, Human Geography, Physics I, Psychology, Spanish Language & Culture, Statistics, U.S. Government & Politics, U.S. History, and World History.
Responsibilities The primary responsibilities will include developing and facilitating content that contributes to student success in the AP classroom and on the AP Exam. Classes should reflect best practices in adult online education, as well as current expectations in the Advanced Placement content area. Compensation Each position will provide a salary commensurate with that of the College Board; all appointments are contingent on class size. |
