Overview

Under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer, the Vice President of Revenue Cycle leads all revenue cycle related functions by utilizing sound planning, decision-making tools, as well as key financial concepts and analysis toward quality improvement. As a key member of the leadership team, the Vice President of Revenue Cycle will champion revenue management and billing compliance improvement initiatives that help promote organizational growth over time.



Responsibilities

    Ensures compliance with PharMerica, BrightSpring, Federal, State and local laws and regulations regarding billing and collection events
  • Recruits, hires, and trains staff; Evaluates staff performance as well as recommends or initiates promotions, transfers and disciplinary actions
  • Monitors progress of assigned staff by incorporating professional development, training plans, and providing effective coaching
  • Reviews collection reports in order to determine and evaluate the effectiveness of current policies in place
  • Recommends and creates overall financial policies and programs to administer the financial or business aspect of patient services
  • Provides analysis to CEO/CFO on current and projected condition of cash flow, accounts receivable, required reserves, and other transactions or events
  • Works with General Council and the Chief Compliance Officer to certify compliance with government program regulations for coding and billing services
  • Facilitates all communication between the business office centers and operational leaders
  • Establishes quality assurance practices to ensure department activity meets quality standards
  • Maintains annual departmental budgets and revenue cycle enhancements
  • Creates and implements all department policy and procedures
  • Assists in the monthly revenue close procedures


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field required; Master's degree preferred
  • Five years or more in handling revenue cycles, re-engineering workflow design, and AR deficiency management
  • 10+ years of exposure in a finance and/or billing and collection environment
  • Knowledge of wide-scale revenue cycle process improvements with quantified results
  • Experience with improving service level agreements and rectifying system issues
