A nationally recognized importer and distributor of specialty food products is seeking an experienced Warehouse Receiving & Distribution Lead to oversee daily inbound operations and support distribution flow in a fast-paced, temperature-controlled environment. This hands-on leadership role is critical to keeping containers moving, inventory accurate, and teams aligned under tight timelines. Hours & Pay

• Schedule: 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM
• Overtime: Occasional, based on workload (flexibility required)
• Pay Rate: $23.90 per hour

What You'll Do

• Lead and support the receiving team to ensure efficient unloading and processing of containers and trailers
• Coordinate distribution activities to support warehouse flow and inventory accuracy
• Operate forklifts and electric pallet jacks as part of daily operations
• Manage terminal and port-related activities, including bookings, cut-off dates, and appointment scheduling
• Monitor inventory levels and support inventory control processes
• Use WMS systems to track product movement and documentation
• Create and manage spreadsheets, reports, and email correspondence
• Ensure proper handling of food products, including tracking BBDs, production dates, and shelf life
• Work in freezer, deli, and varying temperature zones as required
• Step into physical tasks as needed, including pallet counts, loading, and lifting
• Maintain safety, accuracy, and productivity under tight deadlines

What You Bring

• Minimum 4 years of lead experience in a warehouse or distribution environment
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (read, write, and speak fluently)
• Strong knowledge of terminals and ports, including scheduling and logistics coordination
• Experience with Oracle, SAP, or similar warehouse management systems
• Proven inventory control knowledge
• Forklift and electric pallet jack (EPJ) experience required
• Hands-on experience loading and unloading containers and trailers
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Ability to type 40+ WPM and navigate multiple computer screens
• Ability to lift 50 lbs or more and perform physical warehouse work
• Experience working with food products preferred
• Comfortable working in extreme temperature environments
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, punctual, and dependable
• Flexible and available for overtime as business needs require
