Symetra has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Channel Marketing Specialist! About the Role The Channel Marketing Specialist supports the Benefits division marketing team by managing the development maintenance, and ongoing updates of sales and marketing presentations for a wide range of audiences. This position combines project management, content organization, and presentation development to create dynamic, visually effective tools that help drive sales and participation in Symetra benefits products. This position reports to the Channel Marketing Manager and takes direction from the VP Benefits Marketing and Channel Marketing Manager. What you will do
- Project Management: Manage all aspects of presentation-related projects, including intake, prioritization, development, reviews and final delivery within expected timelines.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with sales, product, compliance, and marketing teams to gather content, confirm accuracy, align on objectives, and manage reviews and approvals.
- Content Development: Organize and translate complex information into clear, well-structured presentations that meet audience and business needs.
- Maintenance: Work with stakeholders to regularly review and update existing presentations to ensure they reflect current information. This includes proactively identifying outdated content, ensuring alignment with product, process and/or regulatory updates, and editing slides to improve clarity and visual effectiveness.
- Brand Consistency: Ensure presentations follow brand design standards by collaborating with internal designers and adhering to corporate design guidelines.
- Sales Enablement and Training: Support sales teams, stakeholders, and other presenters by providing guidance on how to effectively use presentation templates and tools, including support during the end of the sales cycle.
- Continuing Education (CE): Support CE programs by ensuring course presentations are accurate, compliant, up to date, and visually engaging.
- Support the Channel Marketing Manager as needed to enhance the effectiveness of channel marketing initiatives.
- Develop and distribute marketing content for various platforms, including email, social media, video, web, and sales enablement tools, as needed to support overall Benefits marketing initiatives and strategies.
- Take proactive steps to deepen understanding of Symetra Benefits products, the group insurance industry, how customers buy and use our products and the distribution channels through which they are delivered.
- Perform administrative tasks as needed.

Compensation Salary Range:$66,100 - $110,100 plus eligibility for annual bonus programs Who you are
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3 years' marketing experience, project management, or related experience.
- Strong experience working with presentation tools (e.g., PowerPoint / software) to develop and maintain professional presentation materials.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel) and familiarity with common publishing and collaboration tools (e.g., SharePoint).
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to prioritize work, manage timelines, and coordinate input and feedback from multiple stakeholders.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to clearly convey requirements, updates, and feedback.
- High attention to detail, particularly related to content accuracy, version control, and brand alignment.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Insurance industry experience is preferred but not required.
- Copywriting, editing and proofreading.
- High school diploma required.
