The Division of Transplant Surgery in the Department of Surgery at the University of Washington School of Medicine is accepting applications for Chief of Pediatric Transplant Surgery at Seattle Childrens Hospital. This unique opportunity consists of a full-time UW faculty Pediatric Transplant Surgeon position at the rank of Associate Professor without tenure by reason of funding (WOT) or Professor WOT. Associate and full professors WOT hold indefinite appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. The expected start date is the summer or fall calendar year 2026. This leadership position will be based at Seattle Childrens Hospital (SCH) and the successful candidate will participate in surgical transplantation procedures, clinics, candidate selection, and donor organ evaluation and recovery in children. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in living donor liver transplantation (LDLT) and to grow the SCH LDLT program. This position will have opportunities in split liver procurement and transplantation, and kidney transplantation in children. Additional SCH leadership roles could be available depending on candidates experience. This position may participate in the UW Medical Center Montlake (UWMC) adult transplant program by participating in surgical transplantation procedures as needed. All University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research, and service. Compensation packages consist of a base salary plus additional compensation components. Base salaries at all ranks will be commensurate with candidateexperience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. Associate Professor (WOT) rank: The base salary range for this position will be: $37,500 - $45,417 per month ($450,000 - $545,004 annually) Professor (WOT) rank: The base salary range for this position will be: $45,834 - $58,334 per month ($550,008 - $700,008 annually) In addition, an administrative supplement is associated with the leadership role of Chief of Pediatric Transplant Surgery. Other compensation associated with this position may include variable incentive or additional compensation in lieu of incentive through CUMG.
