Aon is hiring for a Sales Development Representative. This is a hybrid position that can be worked out of our Victor, NY or Fort Washington, PA offices.

Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) are the tip of the spear. That means they are responsible for making sure customers who start our online application for insurance successfully complete them. SDRs work with customers through several channels, such as instant messaging, inbound and outbound phone calls, and provide assistance to Advisors in both quoting and selling small commercial insurance. The role encompasses both the quantitative support of the sale, as well as a qualitative review of documentation, prior to binding coverage.

What the day will look like:

  • Complete Quality Control on submitted applications prior to submission
  • Provide Sales Advisors with alternative quotes
  • Upload documents to CRM to complete issuance of insurance policy
  • Take both in and outboard calls for commercial insurance applications and work very closely with the Advisors
  • Promote and enhance customer service by providing professional and effective assistance
  • Outbound lead follow-up
  • Maintain a high degree of product knowledge and customer service expertise

Skills and experience that will lead to success:

  • Property and Casualty license, or must obtain within 6 months of hire
  • Customer service and sales experience preferred, experience in a call center environment helpful
  • Basic computer skills, G suite preferred, and Salesforce a plus
  • Strong communication skills via email and phone
  • Ability to build strong relationships, intiate action and adjust to change

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required, Associate degree preferred

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $40,000 to $43,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.
