Job Details (Contract & Pay):

This is a contract position with an estimated end date of May 2027. The hourly rate is $24.00. Please note that contract positions are not eligible for additional monetary benefits or health care coverage.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a 2L to join our Legal Department as a Legal Intern. This role will support the Employment, Immigration & Compliance Legal Team based in New York, New York and is intended to provide hands-on exposure to the practice of law in an in-house environment. The internship will be full-time during Summer 2026 and part-time during the academic year (Fall 2026 and Spring 2027), with a hybrid option available based on business needs. Responsibilities include assisting attorneys and legal staff with preparing immigration visa applications, drafting contracts and policies, creating presentations and training decks, and conducting research and analysis in the areas of employment, compliance, and immigration law.

What you'll do:

  • Assist attorneys and legal staff with preparing immigration visa applications and supporting documentation.

  • Support the team with drafting and updating contracts and policies related to employment, compliance, and immigration matters.

  • Create and refine presentations, training decks, and internal materials to support employee education and compliance guidance.

  • Conduct legal research and analysis (including using Westlaw) in the areas of employment, compliance, and immigration law, and summarize findings for the team.

  • Help manage multiple assignments at once by tracking deadlines, organizing work product, and following up on action items.

  • Work full-time during Summer 2026 and continue supporting the team part-time during Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 (15-20 hours/week).

Qualifications:

  • 2L at an accredited law school with a strong academic record.

  • Authorized to work in the United States and at least 21 years of age.

  • Available to work full-time in Summer 2026 and 15-20 hours/week during Fall 2026 and Spring 2027.

  • Prior experience in a legal working environment.

  • Westlaw competency and strong legal research skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to see both detail and big-picture issues.

  • Demonstrated willingness to learn, ask questions, and take feedback.

  • Nice to have: moot court or law review/journal experience; coursework and/or experience in employment and/or immigration law; and experience with corporate law and contract analysis/drafting.
