The Job at a Glance

As our BI and Data Insights Manager (Internally known as the leader of Intel-Agents!) you will lead and motivate a team of analysts within Parts Town's Insights and Intelligence organization. The I&I team is focused on the delivery of strategic analysis, business intelligence, data products, and architecture that drive actionable insights both inside and out of the organization. You'll help lead transformation and change that will help drive business results, improve customer profitability, market penetration, and operational efficiencies. You'll act as a thought partner and strategic consultant to collaborate with department leaders to shape strategic direction, discover key opportunities, and influence action that solves complex problems critical to the business.

A Typical Day

  • Serve as a thought leader and strategic advisor by providing data driven strategic insights to improve performance across all business functions
  • Develop and maintain business intelligence solutions including discovery, data ingestion, data transformation, and front-end development
  • Mentor and support team members while supporting the road map and direction of the I&I team
  • Design and implement solutions to measure performance against strategic initiatives, identify emerging trends, and surface opportunities
  • Manage multiple high impact analytics projects, ensuring timelines are clear and deadlines are met
  • Support the development of data products and infrastructure that enable Parts Town to harness data in more powerful ways
  • Act as a liaison for technical resources to translate business needs into actionable requirements.
  • Continuously enhance system integration, analytics processes, training and education, team structure and skill sets, and reporting tools to drive change and shift to a more strategic, proactive, and actionable insight approach

To Land This Opportunity

  • You have a BS/BA in business, finance, statistics, computer science, information systems, or related fields
  • You have 5+ years of experience in an analytical role and great communication skills
  • You have 5+ years of experience developing within business intelligence tools to retrieve, visualize, and interpret data (Qlik, Tableau, PowerBI, etc.)
  • You have experience working with big data management tools (BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks, etc.)
  • You have experience working with data and driving insights using ERP data, SAP experience is a plus.
  • You are knowledgeable about data architecture best practices and have experience transforming and maintaining data for analytical use cases
  • You have expert proficiency in querying data using relational database management systems
  • You have experience utilizing AI solutions while maintaining safety, integrity, and data privacy.
  • You are proficient at managing multiple priorities and are comfortable with changing priorities and solving ad-hoc business problems
  • You are independent and resourceful and can solve complex, analytical problems with little direction
  • You are a life-long learner that is prepared to learn new tools, and concepts quickly
  • You demonstrate proven track record delivering results and can coach and facilitate others in solving complex problems
  • You have strong relationship and stakeholder management skills
  • You have the ability to influence without authority
  • You have a passion for storytelling with visualization
  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt well to change
  • You're an all-start communicator with proven decision-making skills

The salary range for this role is $86,548.80 - $ 129,292.87 annually which is based on including but not limited to qualifications, experience, and geographical location. Parts Town is a pay for performance-company. In addition to base pay, some roles offer a profit-sharing program, and an annual bonus depending on the role. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with match, employee assistance programs, paid time off, paid sick time off, paid holidays, paid parental leave, and professional development opportunities.
