As an Associate Maintenance Programs Consultant supporting the Performance & Technology Team, you'll help develop and execute the technology strategies and performance metrics that strengthen Southwest's Maintenance Programs. In this role, you'll work with groups across Technical Operations, including Engineering, Regulatory Compliance, Performance Teams, and IT, to support safe, reliable aircraft operations and maintain alignment with company and regulatory requirements. You'll assist in improving processes for technical data management, contribute to analytics that inform operational decisions, and help drive projects that enhance effectiveness and efficiency. This role gives you the opportunity to learn at the intersection of technology and operations, influence meaningful initiatives, and see your work directly support airline safety, reliability, and compliance. Responsiblities
Proficient in developing and implementing strategic process improvements within MX Programs and the Technical Data Management function. Recognize operational inefficiencies in current processes and understanding the importance in improving them Analyze data to prepare for sprint planning and Agile ceremonies as needed, adhering to Agile principles and practices Represent the Technical Data Management team in cross-departmental initiatives and meetings Applies the usage of standard program, project management, and agile methodologies to address complex projects Foundational understanding of formal governance processes and ensure they are followed for programs and projects (i.e. RCB, CASS, SMS etc) Proficient in creation and delivering of presentations that are clear and convey key information such as roadmaps, and business cases to support change and drive alignment that can be presented at the executive level Proficient representation and lead cross-functional projects and initiatives aimed at addressing unique operational challenges Analyze complex data sets to derive insights that inform long-term strategy and business decisions Coordinate and facilitate meetings with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership Provide guidance and oversight to ensure execution of departmental and cross departmental projects in an efficient and compliant manner while ensuring to meet proposed deadlines Proactively monitor projects and communicate risks, issues, and scope, ensuring the appropriate level of priority, visibility, and escalation Build working relationships with other team members and provide technical oversight to ensure consistent standards and performance Leverage peer influence to drive stakeholder consensus and facilitate decision-making by effectively communicating risks, timelines, and outcomes Act as a strategic advisor and change agent to Technical Operations leadership Must be able to meet any physical ability requirements listed on this description May perform other job duties as directed by Leader
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Foundational understanding of aircraft systems, technical documentation, and maintenance program structures Proficient in addressing complex issues and deliver high-quality, forward-thinking solutions aligned with long-term departmental and business objectives Experience with using tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, Microsoft Office 365 products Proficiency in developing and delivering clear, compelling PowerPoint presentations for varied audiences Proficient in ability to manage and prioritize multiple complex projects across cross-functional teams Foundational in interpreting regulatory, OEM documentation, and Engineering documents, such as but not limited to AMM, IPC, ADs, SBs, STCs, Engineering Orders, Design Drawings Proficient in interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to lead, influence, collaborate, and adapt within cross-functional team environments; consistently effective under pressure and within proposed deadlines Proficient in resolving conflicts and foster a collaborative team environment Ability to demonstrate a work style that projects confidence and authority while maintaining composure, tailoring communication and influence tactics based on situational awareness Ability to gather requirements across cross functional work groups, create meeting minutes, action item lists, and drive assigned actions to close Self-starter with a high degree of autonomy and accountability in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Physical Abilities:

Pay & Benefits: Competitive market salary from $81,200 per year to $90,200 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the company. Benefits you'll love:
