Job Description

Position Summary:

We are looking for a Senior Test Automation Engineer to lead and scale system and integration testing for our cloudnative Digital Platform powering industrial automation services. This role requires expertise in test automation, distributed systems validation, and platformlevel reliability engineering.

As a senior member of the team, you will drive the creation of reusable testing frameworks, accelerate automation maturity, and contribute to the overall system quality of the platform.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Define and evolve the automation strategy for systemlevel and integration testing across the Digital Platform
  • Design and implement scalable automated system tests for critical endtoend workflows spanning microservices
  • Develop reusable testing frameworks, libraries, and templates to standardize automation across teams
  • Analyze logs, traces, metrics, and observability signals to identify system defects and performance bottlenecks
  • Mentor team members and contribute to building a highperformance Quality Engineering culture
  • Create and maintain dashboards for test coverage, reliability metrics, and system health indicators
  • Collaborate with DevOps to integrate automated system tests into CI/CD pipelines and expand shiftleft testing
  • Drive rootcause analysis and support cross-functional debugging of complex distributed issues
  • Work closely with architecture, development, and product teams to ensure feature readiness and alignment with quarterly milestones
The Essentials - You Will Have:
  • Bachelor's Degree or dquivalent years of relevant work experience.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
  • Typically requires 5+ years of experience in system, integration, or platform testing for distributed or cloud-native systems
  • Expertise in Python, automated test frameworks (pytest), and building extensible automation libraries
  • Deep understanding of gRPC, RESTful APIs, protobuf, and schemabased contract validation
  • Hands-on experience with Kafka, MQTT, AMQP, or other message brokers for event-driven architectures
  • Strong proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and cloud-native deployment ecosystems
  • Experience with logging, tracing, and observability stacks (ELK, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.)
  • Ability to debug complex microservice interactions using logs, metrics, traces, and profiling tools
  • Experience with industrial automation
  • Understanding of tag-based data models, asset/metadata discovery services, or catalog-driven orchestration
  • Familiarity with platform interoperability testing, system-level data flow validation, and large-scale distributed testing
