Production Control Coordinator

Location: Waukesha, WI

About the Role

Internationally recognized for quality manufacturing and reliable performance for over 50 years, Prolec is an electric industry leader in the Americas with nine manufacturing facilities strategically located in the United States, Mexico, and Brazil. Our Waukesha facility is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Production Control Coordinator to ensure accurate and timely creation and release of all manufacturing/shop routers to support daily production schedules.

What will you do?

  • Perform data entry for all three shifts, including receipts, pick lists, work-order issues, and shipping documentation.
  • Generate Kanban and floor stock requests; distribute paperwork to work centers.
  • Print and manage production shop packets and process reprints for active work orders.
  • Research and assist with resolving material identification and inventory discrepancies.
  • Support general clerical functions assigned by the Purchasing & Planning Manager.
  • Adjust paperwork and BOMs as required by Engineering Change Management (ECMs).
  • Collaborate with the Storeroom team to resolve COGI material errors.
  • Enter material reservations for customer-bound materials requiring future shipment.
  • TECO (Technical Completion) units for shipment and notify all relevant contacts once finalized.
  • Update internal reports and print daily production schedules.
  • Participate actively in Continuous Improvement initiatives within the department.

What you will bring:

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong multitasking abilities and a high level of attention to detail.
  • Proficient administrative and computer skills, especially Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
  • Professional communication skills with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.

Education & Experience

Required

  • High School Diploma.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing office environment.
  • Familiarity with processing workflow orders in a manufacturing ERP system.

Preferred

  • Associate Degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related area.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for SAP commands related to material and production functions.
