Unit Description:

At the administrative direction of the Radiation Oncology Operations Supervisor, and the clinical direction of the Radiation Oncologist,the Radiation Oncology Registered Nurse works with the Oncologist and other Radiation Oncology staff to assess and respond to the specialized nursing needs of radiation therapy patients.

EDUCATION:

Graduate from an approved Professional Nursing Education Program. Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the State of Vermont is required. Oncology Certified Nurse certification preferred. BLS training required.

EXPERIENCE:

Two years of hospital nursing experience or office nursing experience required. Radiation Oncology experience preferred.

On-call: Not required.

Requirements:



  • Current RN licensure recognized by the State of Vermont required.
  • Appropriate experience in specific clinical area. Varies by unit.
