Job Overview
We are currently looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Conover, North Carolina.
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will:
Apply your engineering expertise on a wide range of projects. Assist senior engineers in the design, construction, and maintenance of manufacturing facilities and systems.
Essential Functions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product engineering, production, and suppliers, to ensure seamless manufacturing integration.
- Provide support in preparing basic engineering documentation, such as Enterprise Change Management (ECMs) and Request for Expenditures (RFEs), under guidance.
- Assist other engineers in analyzing product and manufacturing designs to identify potential solutions.
- Perform standardized manufacturing tests and document results under supervision. and regulations.
- Develop a foundational understanding of industry standards and best practices in manufacturing materials and regulations.
- Must be able to perform all essential job functions with/without accommodation.
- Uses office automation, communication, software, and tools used in Haworth office environment.
- Performs other duties within scope as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing, Packaging or equivalent.
- Education Equivalency:
- Associate's degree plus 2 years related experience or,
- High school diploma plus 4 years related experience.
Work Experience:
- 2 years experience in manufacturing engineering.

Additionally:
- Ability to climb, bend, balance, twist, reach, and lift; must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 100 lbs, with or without accommodations.
- Ability to work in Conover, NC without relocation assistance.
- Current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- CAD experience; proficiency in AutoCAD and Creo is a plus
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing concepts and continuous improvement initiatives
- Hands on experience using hand tools in a production or engineering environment
- Exposure to CNC manufacturing processes and equipment
- Understanding of NPI (New Product Introduction) processes
- Knowledge of plywood framed upholstery and textile manufacturing
- Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams including engineering, maintenance, and production
- Familiarity with manufacturing systems and workflows in a plant environment
- Ability to analyze and improve manufacturing processes for efficiency and cost savings
