Job Description

This strategic leadership role will drive the visibility, reputation, and growth of ECHMN through integrated marketing and communications strategies. The Director will focus on physician recruitment and engagement, commercially insured patient growth, and consistent branding across all channels. The position will report directly to the Chief Communications and Marketing Officer, with a dotted line to the President El Camino Medical Network, and serve as a member of the leadership team.

Job Description

  • Developing and executing marketing and communications strategies for physician recruitment, retention, and network growth

  • Building a compelling narrative to highlight the network's strengths and achievements

  • Designing campaigns to drive patient engagement and satisfaction (PCP, Urgent Care, New Clinic Campaigns)

  • Aligning communications with strategic network objectives in partnership with Leadership, HR, and Operations

  • Establishing communication protocols and crisis management strategies

  • Monitoring and reporting on campaign performance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Public Relations, or related field required (Master's degree preferred).

  • 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in marketing and/or communications, preferably within a healthcare provider environment (health system, medical group, ambulatory network, or multi-site services organization).

  • 5+ years of people leadership and/or team management experience, including the ability to develop talent, lead cross-functional teams, and manage external agency/vendor partners.

  • Demonstrated success developing and executing integrated marketing and communications strategies that drive measurable growth, engagement, brand awareness, and reputation outcomes.

  • Strong expertise in digital performance marketing and analytics, including campaign optimization, KPI dashboards, CRM/lead management concepts, and tracking ROI across channels.

  • Proven executive presence and ability to influence senior leaders through strong strategic thinking, crisp storytelling, and well-structured communications in high-visibility environments.

  • Experience supporting physician recruitment, physician engagement, or medical group growth, including value proposition messaging and differentiated positioning.

  • Experience developing marketing strategies to increase commercially insured patient growth, strengthen referral pathways, and expand ambulatory/service-line access (PCP, urgent care, new clinic openings).

  • Strong competency in brand stewardship, ensuring consistent messaging and identity across digital, print, media, internal communications, and community-facing channels.

  • Experience with communications planning and crisis communication protocols, including rapid response coordination and leader-ready messaging.

    Salary Range:

    $90.50 - $135.75 USD Hour
