What does an FP&A Analyst do at Swire CocaCola?


The FP&A Analyst plays a key role in driving informed business decisions through rigorous investment evaluation and operating expense (OPEX) analysis. This role leads the development and maintenance of financial models to assess capital projects, new business opportunities, and costoptimization initiatives, applying advanced techniques such as DCF, IRR, ROI, and payback analysis. The Analyst partners closely with crossfunctional leaders to support budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting, demonstrating strong financial judgment, ownership of outcomes, and the ability to navigate a fastpaced, evolving business environment. Success in this role requires welldeveloped financial modeling skills, the ability to manage competing priorities, and a collaborative, continuousimprovement mindset that contributes to a positive and highperforming team culture.



Responsibilities:



  • Build and maintain financial models to evaluate capital investment opportunities, applying DCF, IRR, ROI, NPV, and payback period methodologies.
  • Analyze operating expenses (OPEX), identify cost drivers, and support cost-optimization initiatives.
  • Develop business cases for strategic projects, consolidating assumptions, risks, and expected outcomes.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes with a focus on investment and OPEX implications.
  • Perform variance and trend analysis for capital and operating expenditures, highlighting key deviations.
  • Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports summarizing investment performance, OPEX trends, and financial projections.
  • Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses and scenario modeling under the guidance of senior analysts and leadership.
  • Track and summarize macroeconomic and external market indicators relevant to investment and business performance.
  • Collaborate with accounting, operations, and business units to validate assumptions and ensure accurate modeling.
  • Assist in improving financial models, reporting tools, and automation for greater efficiency.



Requirements:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Industrial Engineering or related field required or
  • Internship in finance related field required and
  • 1+ years of experience in a financial analyst role preferred
  • Strong collaboration, cooperation, and communication including ability to lead and influence without authority
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint knowledge (daily usage of pivot tables, VLOOKUP's, macros, index, match functions)
  • Knowledge of P&L, balance sheet, and cashflow analysis
  • Ability to extract and analyze large data files and manipulate them into digestible reports for analysis
  • Comfortable with Business Intelligence tools and data visualization tools (Power BI, Domo)
