Electrical Lab Supervisor

Supervision of a diverse team of technicians and mechanics who provide world-class prototyping, development, and validation support to electrical and propulsion system teams at the component, system, and vehicle level. Responsibilities will include daily operational management, workload prioritization, assignments, and follow-up, collaboration with facility maintenance teams and product development teams to drive efficiencies, and ensure available manpower is continuously applied to the most critical work requests.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Lead daily operational activities
  • Balance priorities among several diverse organizations
  • Drive continuous improvement opportunities, working collaboratively with other labs, garages, and the electrical community at large
  • Maintain a safe work environment and drive safe work practices
  • Create and update operational procedures and skills training plans
  • Review incoming work requests for completeness and accuracy

Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of engineering experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in automotive electrical systems
  • Demonstrated ability to understand technical information and communicate it concisely and clearly in the form of easily understandable text, scripts, and illustrations
  • Outstanding writing, editing, critical reasoning, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask and successfully meet established goals and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in MS-Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint


Preferred Qualifications:



  • 8 years of experience
  • Familiarity with lab and garage operations
  • Experience with efficiency metrics, experience in defining and monitoring KPI
  • Experience leading bargaining unit teams
  • Familiarity with purchasing systems
