Your Job

The Sr Director IT - Finance is a key IT leadership role in support of the corporate, business finance, accounting, tax and treasury capabilities for Georgia Pacific. The role is expected to provide strategic thought leadership and technology partnership while providing oversight on delivery/support of the current and future technology solutions.

The right leader will come with strong domain knowledge/expertise with demonstrated technology acumen and can be a strategic leader, partner with effective influence on advancing, delivering business outcomes.

Our Team

As a key member of the IT team, you will build strong partnerships with business stakeholders and define challenges, identify opportunities, and lead collaborative efforts to influence, design and implement improvements across people, process, data and technology solutions. These solutions will enhance and optimize business systems while advancing GP's strategic objectives and overall business performance.

Location: This is a hybrid role based out of our GP Headquarters in Atlanta, GA. It requires at least 3 days in office per week.

This role is not open to VISA Sponsorship or potential VISA Transfer now or in the future. If you are currently a VISA holder including EAD, this role is not open to support.

What You Will Do

* Develop Talent & Advance Application of Principle-Based Management (PBM)

Advance application of PBM across the organization

Develop & coach talent to maximize contributions with a focus on building a high performing team and developing future leadership talent

Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and customer-centricity

* Partnership: Be a partner for the GP corporate, segment finance leaders/teams and coordinate across other segments and GP IT capabilities to optimize and accelerate value for GP

Establish trusted relationships, become an influencing partner and advisor to the business

Establish clear end-to-end (across corporate and segment finance) alignment of priorities to enable business outcomes with ownership and single point of accountability for GP finance technology driven value enablement

Simplify engagement with IT for finance (corporate and segment) priorities and be the champion to advance outcomes on behalf of those capabilities across the GP/GP IT landscape

* Leadership: Strategic technology partnership and leadership

Be a thought and challenge partner and understand business strategies and contribute to the strategies

Identify new opportunities or gaps in the business and prioritize and advance to deliver superior returns and business value/competitive advantage through technology

Promote opportunities to innovate/explore technology capabilities and alternatives that will help advance business outcomes

* Solution Delivery & Sustain: Maintain/Delivering and Sustaining ongoing value to run the business across critical finance technology solutions (segment R2R platforms and corporate accounting, tax, and treasury platforms)

Oversight and operational governance and discipline on all technology delivery and solution sustaining for finance (direct and indirect across other IT capability teams) - engage at a level to develop effective understanding to influence improved outcomes through people and process

Drive high efficiency and optimize cost (TCO) to manage and sustain solutions

Lead, manage and motivate cross-functional teams to successfully deliver key initiatives/projects on time and within budget

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

* Proven experience in finance process, strategy and leadership with demonstrated technology acumen

* Experience in leadership with an ability and desire to manage teams leading a large (direct and indirect) organization

* Proven experience solving complex and critical problems with an ability to make informed decisions while evaluating alternatives and trade-offs to create the highest long-term value

* Experience engaging and influencing effectively with a range of business and technology stakeholders

* Experience identifying opportunities to partner and advance value through innovative and profitable IT solutions

* Willing and able to travel when needed, up to 15%

* Must have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship

What Will Put You Ahead

* Bachelor's degree in business or related field

* Experience leading large-scale Finance transformations including migration of key capabilities like GL, AR, and AP

* Experience in financial planning and analysis related to technology and total cost of ownership modeling

* Experience with designing, developing, and implementing technology in a manufacturing environment
