As a Software Application Engineer at Lam, you'll be at the forefront of driving innovation and adoption of AI in our business and our products. You'll support fast product evolution through agile processes by analyzing, designing, programming, testing, debugging, and enhancing software applications. With your expertise and initiative, you'll turn ideas into great applications and products that support advancements in Lam's semiconductor technology.

In this role, you will have a significant impact on the innovation and efficiency of Lam's products and services. By developing enterprise grade software applications and AI tools, you will enable data-driven decision making, optimize workflows, enhance user experience, and improve quality and performance of Lam's hardware and processes.

• Drive AI adoption throughout the Program and Product Management teams.
• Collaborate with application teams and and adjacent organizations in planning, data collection, modeling, data analysis, and report results to stakeholders.
• Partner cross-functionally to understand Product roadmaps, business operations' process flows, and business use cases.
• Acts as single point of contact accountable for applications and key projects.
• Works with stakeholders to determine appropriate multi-product or organizational workflows or integration including database connections to transform data into usable business cases.
• Develop clean, scalable, maintainable, and testable use cases through close collaboration within product group and across the company.
• Implement data models and perform end-to-end testing to enhance functionality of AI applications and implement sound analytics to monitor and continuously improve organizational effectiveness.

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with no previous professional experience; or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in [insert specifics e.g., front-end, back-end, data analysis].
• This is a graduate eligible role.

• Basic proficiency in python, [insert other specific programming language], or similar programming languages.
• Familiarity with software product development methodologies.
• Effective organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, adjust to shifting priorities, and meet business needs.
• Good interpersonal skills to coordinate and communicate with diverse, cross-functional teams.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. 'On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
